A WWE tag team that entered today as champions have not only lost their title, but have seen their partnership come to an end all together.

Today’s WWE NXT Heatwave premium live event on the CW Network has played host to numerous title changes, with two of them involving Myles Borne.

Firstly, Borne and Tavion Heights lost their NXT Tag Team Championship to Vanity Project members Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes.

Borne and Heights had only been champions for a few weeks after deciding to reunite their tag team from a few years ago when they were members of the No Quarter Catch Crew.

A couple of matches later, Borne, pulling double duty today, was back in action, this time defending his WWE NXT North American Championship against the other member of Vanity Project, Jackson Drake.

Once again, it was an unsuccessful attempted title defense for Borne, as it was Drake who picked up the win thanks to interference from the rest of Vanity Project despite Heights’ attempts to protect Borne from the numbers game.

After the match, Heights joined Borne in the ring and attempted to rally the crowd around Borne, but this just served to anger an already frustrasted Borne who snapped and attacked Heights with his Borne Again finishing move before leaving in Randy Orton-esque fashion.

This looks to signal a heel turn for Borne and the end of him and Heights as a team – likely leading to a match between the two some time soon.

More Title Changes At WWE NXT Heatwave

As noted, WWE NXT Heatwave was filled with numerous title changes, including the very first match where Zaria won the Women’s Speed Title and unified it with her Women’s North American Championship.

Elsewhere in the women’s division, there was a change at the top as Kelani Jordan defeated Kendal Grey to win the NXT Women’s Championship in Jordan’s first ever shot at the title.

Also at Heatwave, Jaida Parker defeated WWE main roster star Nattie by making Nattie tap out to her own Sharpshooter submission hold.
