While WWE doesn’t typically announce their inductees for the Hall of Fame until the road to WrestleMania, last year saw that trend bucked when Stephanie McMahon was confirmed as the headline inductee for the 2026 class at September’s Wrestlepalooza 2025 event.

This could be the beginning of a new strategy for WWE, as they announce the headline Hall of Fame inductee further in advance before revealing the rest of the class early the following year.

Here are three potential headline inductees we could potentially see announced for the 2027 WWE Hall of Fame.

Brock Lesnar

The past year has seen WWE say goodbye to several legends who began their careers in the early 2000s, with John Cena, AJ Styles and now Brock Lesnar officially hanging up their boots.

It took WWE less than a month after Styles’ last match to surprise ‘The Phenomenal One’ with the bombshell news that he would be getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a part of the 2026 class.

Given that Lesnar’s retirement is similarly as fresh as Styles’ was, WWE could go ahead and announce ‘The Beast’ as the headline inductee for next year’s class – putting to bed any lingering questions regarding whether he could potentially make one more comeback  in the near future.

As a major box office attraction for over two decades, Lesnar has certainly earned the honour of being a headline WWE Hall of Fame inductee, and 2027 could very well be his year.

Batista

We’re now six years on from Batista being announced as the headliner of the 2020 class; yet ‘The Animal’ still does not have his WWE Hall of Fame ring.

The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the entire 2020 class being inducted in 2021 instead, however, Batista was the exception, as he opted to wait until he could receive a proper induction in front of a full crowd of fans.

Batista’s acting schedule has seemingly prevented it happening in subsequent years, but it’s about time that WWE and the six-time world champion come together to make it happen.

It has been a long while since Batista made an appearance on WWE programming, and while he’s adamant he will never compete inside a ring again, fans would certainly appreciate being able to give ‘Big Dave’ his flowers at the 2027 Hall of Fame.

John Cena

Wrapping up the trifecta of 2002 OVW graduates is John Cena, who, after retiring from the ring in December 2025, has taken up an ambassador role with WWE.

At some point before the end of the year, we should be finally seeing the inaugural John Cena Classic take place. The 17-time world champion has confirmed that details regarding the event are set in stone, with an announcement incoming.

While the event’s focus is on putting a spotlight on the future stars of WWE, it could be made even more special by playing host to a special announcement from none other than The Undertaker.

‘The Deadman’ has become known as the bearer of good news in recent years; informing both Stephanie McMahon and AJ Styles of their 2026 Hall of Fame inductions. So, it’d be only fitting that Taker shows up at the John Cena Classic to tell WWE’s ‘Greatest of All Time’ that he’s heading to the 2027 WWE Hall of Fame.
