AEW Champion Confirms All In London 2026 Injury

A newly crowned AEW champion has broken their silence after an injury at All In: London on August 30 at Wembley Stadium.

For the first time in her career, Mercedes Mone became AEW Women’s World Champion, defeating Willow Nightingale at All In: London.

During the AEW All In: London post-show media scrum, Mone confirmed that she had suffered a broken nose at the beginning of the match, requiring stitches.

Mone has now taken to Twitter to celebrate the start of her AEW Women’s World Championship reign, with an image of the star bloodied yet somber, posting:

“Heavy is the crown.”

The Women’s World Championship wasn’t the only top title to change hands at AEW All In: London, with Will Ospreay defeating Kenny Omega to become World Champion.

Mone and Ospreay leaving Wembley Stadium as newly crowned champions was monumental enough, but the August 30 event saw multiple titles change hands.

The Buy In show saw Persephone capture the TBS Championship, defeating Maya World for the title.

This was followed by Swerve Strickland and The New Level becoming AEW World Trios Champions in the Roulette Royale. The New Level are the team of Kofi & Austin Creed, known to WWE fans as The New Day.

From the start of AEW All In, title changes would become a running theme, with The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter) claiming the Women’s World Tag Team Championship with a victory over Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne & Lena Kross).

Jon Moxley would defeat Nigel McGuinness in the final of the Continental Cup Challenge, retaining the title as a result, marking one of a small number of champions to retain.

Kyle Fletcher’s reign as AEW International Champion would come to an end, with fellow Don Callis Family member, Kazuchika Okada, being the victor in a three-way match also featuring Konosuke Takeshita.

Cage & Cope retained the World Tag Team Championship against The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), being the other match to feature a title not changing hands.

Darby Allin entered his third reign as TNT Champion with a win over Kevin Knight in a Falls Count Anywhere match.

The penultimate match at Wembley Stadium saw Mone victorious, while the main event would be the moment that Ospreay was able to vanquish Omega.
