Second generation stars to sign with WWE: Six sons of wrestlers who could join the company following Rey Mysterio’s daughter Aalyah’s signing

WWE has now confirmed that Aalyah Gutierrez – the daughter of Rey Mysterio – has now signed with the company.

With third-generation wrestler Aalyah officially joining WWE, there has been some speculation about other multi-generation wrestlers putting pen to paper at the Performance Center.

From former AEW stars to individuals who have yet to make their pro-wrestling debuts, these stars could all end up debuting for WWE one day.

Here are six more sons of wrestlers to potentially sign with WWE.

Joseph & Jeremiah Chavis

With Joseph and Jeremiah Chavis within reaching distance of WWE, we could see these two brothers join the company in the coming years.

The sons of former WWE wrestler Tatanka, both Joseph and Jeremiah have been training at Nattie’s Dungeon facility, specifically under the tutelage of Raw star Jacob Fatu.

Joseph recently participated in a WWE tryout over SummerSlam weekend, following which Shawn Michaels noted that he’s excited to see his progression “once he comes in the doors.”

Following praise from a wrestling legend and NXT boss, as well as mentorship from a Raw star, it feels inevitable that Tatanka’s sons will eventually put pen to paper with WWE.

CJ Gallows had a very similar start to his career as Avery Styles, ahead of Avery ultimately leaving the independent scene to sign with TNA Wrestling.

The son of former WWE star Doc/Luke Gallows, CJ Gallows made his pro-wrestling debut in February for SECW Pro Wrestling, teaming with Doc Gallows.

CJ and Avery have actually teamed up already in both star’s short careers, with the duo taking on Gallows and Karl Anderson at the July 26 NGW Tennessee “Wrestle Wars” show.

While he recently made his debut for MLW, we could eventually see CJ become a WWE Performance Center talent.

Brock Anderson

Brock Anderson made his pro-wrestling debut as part of AEW, teaming with Cody Rhodes against QT Marshall and Aaron Solo on AEW Dynamite in March 2021.

He remained with the company until October 2023, and has since been wrestling on the independent scene.

In December 2025, Brock’s legendary father, Arn Anderson, stated that with whatever time he has left in the wrestling business, he wants to make sure Brock gets started on the right foot, and is well respected.

With Arn also stating that Brock Anderson hadn’t “made the mainstream” like they believe he will, a contract with WWE would allow the son of the Horseman the opportunity to become a household name.

Garrett Borden

With Steven Borden becoming a bigger on-screen presence in AEW since his appearance at All In London, we’re yet to see Sting’s other son, Garrett Borden, wrestle for the company.

Garrett Borden made his pro-wrestling debut during the May 17 Rhodes Wrestling Association “Final Reckoning” show, defeating Brandon Barretta in his first-ever match.

While many are expecting Garrett to eventually join his brother in AEW, WWE would likely still be an option for him.

If Garrett did sign with WWE, he and Steven would not be the only set of brothers split between these two promotions, with NXT’s Uriah Connors and AEW’s David Finlay both being the sons of Fit Finlay.

Brock Rechsteiner

With Brock Rechsteiner currently having a WWE NIL deal, it has been heavily speculated that he will eventually sign with the company as an in-ring talent.

Brock Rechsteiner – the son of Scott Steiner – is currently focusing on his NFL career, but previously indicated that he will step into the squared circle in the future.

In a previous interview, Rechsteiner noted that his cousin, Raw star Bron Breakker, has convinced him to get into the wrestling business following his football career, fuelling speculation about the duo teaming up in the future.

With WWE presenting Bron Breakker as a future main eventer, it’d be interesting to see how the company would showcase his cousin, Brock.
