WWE Raw October 1 2018 – Highs and Lows

High: The boys are back in town

Raw concluded this week with Shawn Michaels coming to the ring to discuss the upcoming Triple H vs. Undertaker bout at Super Show-Down.

After HBK reaffirmed that he’s on Hunter’s side, he was greeted by the ‘Big Red Machine’ we all know and love as Kane. Kane laid waste to Michaels, and before we could say “bloody hell lads, are we in a time machine?” Undertaker and Triple H had joined them.

After a brief brawl, it was very much the Brothers of Destruction who ended the show stood tall, as they nailed both HBK and HHH with Chokeslams, before the ‘Deadman’ drilled Trips into the canvas with a Tombstone.

Before this segment, I did not care in the least about ‘Taker vs. HHH. This changed that. This was really good. This was the best moment of the night.

It is being reported that after SSD, we’re gonna see BoD vs. DX in a tag team match at November’s Crown Jewel show. While these matches might not actually be that great in quality, they’re certainly beginning to feel huge.

Low: Everything else

As we know by now, Raw always comes with bits of fluff that no-one cares about and is just there to fill time.

Here’s a rundown of said fluff that I didn’t care about and was mostly just an inconvenience to sit through:

  • Ronda Rousey def. Ruby Riott
    • This wasn’t necessarily bad, I just didn’t care
  • Alexa Bliss’ ‘Moment of Bliss’
    • It wasn’t funny, it wasn’t good, it was just pointless. At least they actually mentioned Evolution for once
  • Kevin Owens def. Bobby Lashley
    • This match was quite slow and went quite a while, and then ended with a roll-up from an Elias distraction
  • Bayley def. Alicia Fox
    • Woteva
