A major absent WWE star is being advertised for tomorrow night’s Tribute to the Troops special episode of SmackDown.
Former WWE Champion AJ Styles has not been seen on WWE television since the September 22 episode of SmackDown, when he was written off with a backstage attack at the hands of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.
AJ’s return has been speculated to take place numerous times over the past few weeks, but it seems as though fans of the Phenomenal One may be in luck for tomorrow’s show.
The pop up advertisement on WWE.com for tomorrow night’s episode of SmackDown features many of SmackDown’s top names, including LA Knight, Charlotte Flair, the Street Profits, Bobby Lashley and IYO SKY.
Also featured on the advertisement is AJ Styles, seemingly confirming that he will return on tomorrow night’s Tribute to the Troops show.
The show will also feature CM Punk’s first appearance on SmackDown in 10 years, though he is not featured on the WWE.com advertisement for the show.
The show will also feature two first round matches in the United States Championship contenders tournament, with Dragon Lee taking on Santos Escobar, as well as Bobby Lashley facing Karrion Kross.
Seems like the news about AJ Styles coming back this Friday on #SmackDown is true! 👀
