On Saturday, May 30, Lucha Libre AAA will present their latest special with the Noche de Los Grandes event from Monterrey.

The company has already announced the main event as El Grande Americano vs. The Original El Grande Americano in a Mask vs. Mask Match.

While the attention will be on this huge showdown, there is still time and room for the promotion to announce some key title bouts and high profile matches to fill out the card.

Here are six potential matches to be added to the WWE AAA Noche de Los Grandes 2026.

AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: Flammer (c) vs. La Catalina

La Catalina in WWE AAA

La Catalina was previously on the WWE NXT roster from 2019 to 2021 under the name Katrina Cortez

On the April 11 edition of AAA on FOX, Flammer celebrated her record-breaking reign as the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion.

However, this celebration was cut short thanks to the debuting La Catalina, who made the jump from CMLL to Lucha Libre AAA.

This has led to Catalina being pushed as a major acquisition for the promotion and recently being invited to WWE WrestleMania 42.

Considering her focus being set on the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship, this should lead to a title clash between Catalina and Flammer as one of the major matches on the Noche de Los Grandes card.

AAA Tag Team Championship: Psycho Clown & Pagano (c) vs. The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar)

Psycho Clown and Pagano have been AAA Tag Team Champions since August 2025 when they defeated Los Garza

Back on the WWE AAA Rey de Reyes Week 2 event, Psycho Clown and Pagano went to a no contest in their AAA Tag Team Championships match against The War Raiders.

After brawling to the point that the referee had to call for the bell, it has become clear that these two teams hate one another.

Then on the April 25 edition of AAA on FOX, Ivar defeated Psycho Clown in a singles match thanks to outside interference from Erik.

With the growing tension being showcased between Pagano and Clown, The War Raiders could be on their way to capturing the AAA Tag Team Championships at the upcoming Noche de Los Grandes show on May 30.

AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship: Lola Vice & Mr. Iguana (c) vs. The Culling (Izzi Dame & Niko Vance)

Mr Iguana and Lola Vice won the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship from Ethan Page and La Hiedra, who was wrestling on behalf of the injured Chelsea Green

Speaking of tag team gold, there is more than one pair of titles for stars to vie over in Lucha Libre AAA.

Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana have shown them to be a tight-knit partnership that has reigned as AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions.

WWE NXT fans got to see their bond on display when Vice called upon Iguana to help her get the better of The Culling’s Izzi Dame and Niko Vance on the April 28 episode.

After this interaction, this could open the door for Dame and Vance to come to AAA to challenge Iguana and Vice for the gold at the Noche de Los Grandes special.

Team Europe (Axiom, Dorian Van Dux & Romeo Moreno) vs. Team Puerto Rico (El Mesias, Lince Dorado & Mecha Wolf)

Axiom is a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion with Nathan Frazer, and was the inaugural Heritage Cup Champion under the name A-Kid

Following the WWE AAA Rey de Reyes three-week special, the company announced a series of trios matches that would see different countries and continents battling with one another.

On the April 4 episode of AAA on FOX, Team Puerto Rico’s El Mesias, Lince Dorado and Mecha Wolf defeated Tokyo Bad Boys, representing Team Japan.

Meanwhile, Team Europe’s Axiom, Dorian Van Dux and Elio LeFleur picked up a win over Team UK’s Nathan Frazier, Tristan Angels and Charlie Dempsey.

With those victories and the recent injury to LeFleur, fans could see these two winners going at it at the Noche de Los Grandes event with Romeo Moreno coming in for Team Europe to replace the masked star.

AAA Cruiserweight Championship: Laredo Kid (c) vs. Rey Fenix

Laredo Kid has been AAA Cruiserweight Champion since December 2024

On the WWE AAA Rey de Reyes Week 3 special, Laredo Kid defeated TJ Perkins, Jack Cartwheel and Dragon Lee to retain the AAA Cruiserweight Championship.

After this win, WWE SmackDown star Rey Fenix came out to confront Laredo, letting him know that he is coming after his title.

Laredo and Fenix are two men who have become synonymous with being champions in AAA over their time with the promotion.

Considering this record-breaking, historic reign for the AAA Cruiserweight Champion, Laredo could be facing the toughest challenger of his run in Fenix in Monterrey at Noche de Los Grandes.

AAA Mega Championship: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. La Parka

Dominik Mysterio has retained the AAA Mega Title against Dragon Lee and El Hijo Del Vikingo so far during his reign

At the WWE AAA Rey de Reyes Week 1 event, Dominik Mysterio defeated El Hijo del Vikingo to retain the AAA Mega Championship.

Since then, there have been no challengers stepping up to the plate to challenge “Dirty Dom” for the top prize in Lucha Libre AAA.

However, La Parka has been gaining momentum in both singles and tag team action that could potentially set him up to be the next contender for the gold.

After his recent success and appearance at WWE Royal Rumble 2026, Parka may be someone that can catch Mysterio by surprise at Noche de Los Grandes to win the gold out of nowhere.
