There’s been bad news for AEW’s Bandido who suffered a wrist injury in June 2023 and has since had surgery on the break.
As previously reported, Bandido suffered a broken wrist during his match against Konosuke Takeshita on AEW Rampage.
Bandido would confirm that he had undergone surgery for the injury in July 2023 and that surgery was believed to be a success.
Recently, it was reported that Bandido was expected to be cleared for an in-ring return “in the next few weeks“.
That clearance is going to be further down the line according to an update from Dave Meltzer.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer revealed that that Bandido needed another surgery, saying:
“Bad news for Bandido by the way. Another surgery on the wrist. It didn’t heal properly.
“It’s really too bad because he was literally ready to come right back and the bone didn’t heal well, which is really sad.”
