Rumored Bray Wyatt Faction Member Reflects On It ‘Being A Possibility’ WWE

Dutch of The Righteous has opened up about his planned involvement in Bray Wyatt’s ‘Wyatt 6’ faction and how it led to his AEW signing.

Wyatt 6 was the supposed name of a faction that Bray Wyatt was rumored to lead following his return at Extreme Rules in 2022.

A number of names were suggested as being members of the group, including Dutch and Vincent of The Righteous.

Vincent and Dutch of The Righteous were spotted on an episode of WWE NXT in December 2022, leading to speculation that they had both signed for the company.

During an appearance on Developmentally Speaking, Dutch revealed his planned involvement in the group, saying (Quote via POST Wrestling):

“I don’t know if we’ll ever know (if there was any truth to the Wyatt 6 group). But, definitely seemed like it was leaning in that direction.

“Definitely seemed like it was leaning in that direction and I think it would’ve been great. I mean, we were down there in NXT for a week or so back in December and yeah, the ball seemed to be rolling at the time and then it kind of just got stopped for whatever reason.

“I mean maybe it was the illness that he had, whatever, I’m not 100 percent sure. I don’t know if we’ll ever know but, it was definitely a possibility…

“Oh yeah (it was Wyatt’s idea). We talked a lot about ideas and stuff and all that and never came to fruition but, the ideas and stuff that — it was being thrown around. It was being thrown around.”

He would go on to discuss how being part of the “buzz” around the Wyatt 6 faction would lead to The Righteous being signed by AEW, concluding:

“Like I said in my Twitter post, I don’t think that I would be in the position that I am now with AEW if it wasn’t for him and we created that buzz on social media for X amount of months whether it happened or not, like I said, everything happens for a reason. So I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him right now so…”

The Righteous made their Ring of Honor return at Supercard of Honor 2023 and have regularly been featured on ROH on HonorClub.

They were also part of the All Elite Wrestling ROH World Tag Team Title #1 Contendership Battle Royal on the August 30 episode of AEW Rampage.

Bray Wyatt passed away on August 24, 2023, at the age of 36.

WWE has added the following note to the item descriptions for Wyatt merch on the WWE Shop website:

In the wake of Bray Wyatt’s death, WWE will donate all net proceeds to support JoJo Offerman and his children.

On Thursday, August 24, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported:

I was given permission to reveal that earlier this year Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) got COVID that exacerbated a heart issues.

There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery. Unfortunately today he suffered a heart attack and passed away.

Our thoughts and condolences continue to be with the family, friends, and everyone affected by the passing of Windham Rotunda.
