AEW
A current AEW star has reacted to news of a recent departure from the company by posting a heartfelt message of appreciation.
Fuego Del Sol, who has competed in AEW since 2020, recently announced his official departure from the company with the 27-year-old giving thanks to his former employer and announcing that he will now be taking future bookings elsewhere.
In response to the news, AEW talent Emi Sakura posted a message of gratitude to Fuego, giving credit to him for assisting her in developing a key piece of her in-ring offence.
Sakura tweeted:
He taught me the moonsault press. Universal Studios Orlando, last year’s dark taping match.
He gave me time before his match. He was a role model, helped me many times, and gave me a lot of advice. again and again!
And it’s done. Remember him when you see this move.
Thank you Fuego, see you soon.
The tweet was accompanied by a collage video of Fuego teaching Sakura the moonsault and then finally hitting the move during an actual match.
As Fuego departs AEW, the company seemingly welcomes in a new member of the male roster in a former WWE star who made his debut on this week’s Rampage (airing tonight, June 23).
