AEW ‘Taking Over’ English Premier League Football Match On August 21 AEW/Premier League

Under a week away from AEW All In at London’s Wembley Stadium on August 27, it seems as if AEW is also set for a special takeover of an English Premier League match on Monday, August 21.

Announced via a post on the AEW Twitter account, the Monday night tie between London clubs Crystal Palace and Arsenal looks set to carry an AEW presence of some kind.

AEW tweeted:

Thank you to Crystal Palace FC for helping AEW kick off our historic week in London.

We’ve taken over their match today vs. Arsenal. And we’ll see you at Wembley Stadium on 8/27!

The match will take place at Palace’s stadium Selhurst Park.

It’s currently unclear as to what AEW’s ‘taking over’ of the match will include, but it’s not the first time they’ve tied in some All In promotion with the English Premier League.

After Tony Khan’s Fulham FC signed winger Adama Traore on a free transfer, they posted a strange mash-up of football and wrestling which included Traore, AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole, with the phrase Adam Cole BAY-BAY.

Prior to All In’s announcement, many assumed that AEW’s debut show in England would take place at Fulham’s Craven Cottage ground – Tony Khan recently discussed the decision to instead pick Wembley for the pay-per-view despite his role as Fulham’s Director of Football Operations.

You can find out what Khan had to say on the decision at this link here.
