AEW has unsurprisingly been doing plenty of promotion for the highly-anticipated All In London Wembley Stadium pay-per-view event on August 27.
While this is expected, the latest post may raise a few eyebrows, especially if you’re a fan of both AEW and Premier League football.
It’s no secret that AEW CEO Tony Khan has ties to the Premier League through his family’s ownership of Fulham FC where Khan operates as Vice-Chairman and Director of Football Operations at the club.
Well, in a way to marry the two very different worlds together, AEW has tweeted a picture of World Champion MJF, his upcoming challenger at All In Adam Cole, and brand new Fulham signee Adama Traore in one very-doctored image.
Hilariously the caption for the tweet goes a step further pairing the similar first names of Traore and Cole together to read:
Adama Cole BAY-BAY
Similarly as bemused as most people are sure to be by this was MJF who took to the comments of the post, saying:
Idk what’s going on but Tony told me he’d bonus me if I rt’d it so here we are.
Traore, who signed with Fulham on a free transfer this summer, is infamous amongst football fans for having perhaps the physique of a wrestler and use of oil on his large arms.
So perhaps, given his new connections, we could see the winger step into an AEW ring in the future.
