An AEW star has called out Jon Moxley after the results of the Continental Cup Tournament first-round matches on Dynamite.
The August 12 episode of AEW Dynamite saw David Finlay face Jay White in the first round of the Continental Cup Tournament, with Jon Moxley and Jungle Jack Perry facing off later in the show.
Moxley would score the win over Perry in a bloody encounter, while White would be victorious over Finlay.
With AEW All In: London on August 30 hosting the final of the Continental Challenge Cup and the winner becoming the new Continental Champion, Jay White had thoughts to share in a video on Twitter when it comes to Moxley, saying:
“Now, where will end up? Nobody knows.
“But, if it plays out the way I believe it to be written; Moxley, our paths are going to cross, and that’s where your path ends, but mine continues onto London, mine continues on Wembley, mine continues onto All In, to the final of the Continental Cup, where I will be crowned the new Continental Champion of AEW.
“And, if you, Moxley, or whoever else, are not down with that, the Bang, Bang Gang and my throne have got two words for you: Guns Up.”

With the Continental Cup tournament continuing on AEW Collision, spoilers have emerged for the August 15 episode of that show.
A Trio Of Tournaments
To date, AEW has three tournaments as regular fixtures in its calendar, with only one featuring a women’s counterpart.
Introduced in 2019, the Dynamite Diamond Ring has been determined through a tournament typically running at the back end of any given year. 2025 saw Bandido become the Dynamite Diamond Ring winner, defeating Ricochet on the December 24 Dynamite on 34th Street episode.
2022 would see the introduction of the Owen Hart Cup, with stars from the men’s and women’s roster competing in their own tournaments to determine a winner. Last year saw Mercedes Mone as the winner, a feat she would repeat this year, while Hangman Adam Page would be victorious in 2025. This year sees Will Ospreay as the Owen Hart Cup winner.
Finally, there’s the Continental Classic (sometimes called the C2), which sees stars compete in two separate leagues in a round robin tournment, leading to a final featuring the winner of the Blue and Gold league in singles action. Jon Moxley represented the Blue league last year, beating Kazuchika Okada, to become Continental Champion, carrying the title over into the 2026 tournament.
When it comes to repeat winners, Mone scoring back-to-back wins in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup is certainly one for the record books, although is perhaps eclipsed by MJF and his six-year streak as Dynamite Diamond Ring winner, starting with the inaugural tournament in 2019.
