Umaga’s Manager Armando Estrada Reacts To Zilla Fatu’s WWE Debut

Umaga’s manager Armando Alejandro Estrada has reacted to Zilla Fatu’s WWE debut on last night’s NXT episode.

For the past few months it was reported that WWE had interest in signing Zilla Fatu, with the Bloodline family member an obvious potential signing for the company following the recent Bloodline reunion.

Over the weekend, Zilla was in action on the House of Glory High Intensity event, where he lost his HoG Crown Jewel Championship to The Amazing Red, before Red would take to the mic and wish Zilla ‘good luck’ after the match.

It was reported prior to last night’s WWE NXT show that Zilla was at the Performance Center, with the belief being that he had signed with WWE, which would then be confirmed at the end of the show, where Zilla made his WWE debut, laying out both Cruz Montana and Grayson Waller during the main event.

Zilla Fatu is the latest member of the Anoa’i family to sign with WWE, with Zilla being the son of WWE legend Umaga.

Umaga dominated WWE television from 2006-2009, with a lot of the time being accompanied to the ring by his manager Armando Alejandro Estrada.

Taking to social media following Zilla’s debut, Estrada would comment on Zilla’s arrival in NXT, simply writing:

Estrada signed a legends contract with WWE back in September 2024, with him then going on to be featured in WWE 2k25 and WWE 2k26.

How Long Will Zilla Fatu Spend In NXT?

Zilla arriving in NXT is ultimately the right move, as he should definitely spend some time in the developmental territory to iron out any kinks in his game so he can reach his true potential on Raw or SmackDown.

However, Zilla arriving in NXT was something of a surprise, as previous members of the Bloodline that signed with WWE, namely Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga, all debuted straight on the WWE main roster instead, so the precedent had already been set.

WWE is already teasing Zilla as ‘a future member of the Bloodline’ in the description of his latest WWE merchandise, so the idea of him moving up to join the group could become a reality rather quickly.

Zilla already targeting the NXT Championship would imply he isn’t going to be part of NXT for a long time.
