AEW Teams With Independent Wrestling Promotion For ‘Rebel Heart’ Dynamite Special

An upcoming special episode of AEW Dynamite will be bookended by matches featuring stars of an independent wrestling promotion.

On September 9, AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite will take place in Athens, Georgia, in support of I AM ALS.

The show will honor AEW star “Rebel” Tanea Brooks, who announced her ALS diagnosis in May.

Ahead of the upcoming show, 1FW has confirmed that a special taping of their show will take place at Akins Ford Arena, with the QT Marshall-led promotion issuing a press release that reads:

McDonough, Ga. – August 11, 2026 – One Fall Wrestling (1FW) announced today that it will present a special taping of 1FW TV on September 9 at Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia, in conjunction with AEW’s Rebel Heart Dynamite.

The special television taping will take place both before and after AEW Dynamite, giving 1FW fans the opportunity to see their favorite stars compete on the biggest stage in 1FW history, while giving AEW fans the chance to see familiar faces and discover the champions and rising stars who have helped make 1FW Georgia’s number 1 promotion.

The event carries a purpose beyond the ring. AEW’s Rebel Heart event is being held in support of I AM ALS, honoring AEW wrestler “Rebel” Tanea Brooks and her courageous battle with ALS.

1FW officially began its fundraising efforts at its August 7 live event and will continue collecting donations at its regular live events through September 4. Fans who donate will be entered into one of three drawings each night for the opportunity to win tickets to AEW’s Rebel Heart Dynamite on September 9 in Athens. All donations collected by 1FW will be matched by 1FW through the support of the company’s ownership and other generous anonymous donors.

“I’d like to personally thank Tony Khan and AEW for giving 1FW the opportunity to be part of such an important night,” said QT Marshall, founder of 1FW. “For Tony to allow us to showcase 1FW before and after Dynamite means a great deal to everyone at 1FW. More importantly, this is about coming together for Rebel and supporting the fight against ALS.

Kevin Owens commented on Rebel’s battle against ALS at WWE SummerSlam, with the AEW star reacting to his comments shortly thereafter.

1FW is one of a number of independent wrestling promotions to be included on the MyAEW streaming platform.

MyAEW Expands To Include Multiple Independent Wrestling Promotions

With the news that 1FW will record matches before and after AEW Dynamite, it marks a first for either promotion and an opportunity for All Elite fans to witness stars that they may very well follow in the future.

From its launch announcement earlier this year, it was clear that MyAEW was going to fill a gap in the wrestling fandom, with it a trickle of independent promotions announcing that their shows would air on the streaming platform, whether live or as VOD.

At the time of writing, MyAEW will see a number of independent wrestling promotions from around the globe as part of its schedule. A July 30 press release confirmed that United Wrestling Network (UWN), Metroplex Wrestling (MPX), AML / WrestleCade Entertainment, Pro-Wrestling: EVE (EVE), Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) & Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) were being added to the offering.

RevPro and EVE have both shared a relationship with AEW over the years, and now join PRODUCE by Orange Crush, CLL, MLP, WrestlePro, C4, Limitless Wrestling and other independent promotions on a platform that is just over five months old.

With a world of independent wrestling out there, it can only be hoped that more promotions find a home on MyAEW, with opportunities for more collaborations, particularly for worthy causes such as the fight against ALS.
