‘Another Overrated Uce’ – WWE Star Reacts To Zilla Fatu NXT Debut

A WWE star has reacted to Zilla Fatu’s NXT debut, calling the Bloodline family member an “overrated uce”.

Following Zilla Fatu’s recent title loss and farewell, it was heavily speculated that he would be joining WWE imminently.

Sure enough, the son of Umaga made his WWE TV debut on the August 11 NXT episode, interfering in Cruz Montana and Grayson Waller’s NXT Championship #1 contender’s match.

With Zilla attacking Montana and Waller, the show went off the air with the debutant having a stare down with NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo.

Grayson Waller has now taken to Twitter to comment on Zilla Fatu’s arrival.

Not particularly thrilled, Waller wrote:

Just what WWE needs, another overrated Uce

This comes just two weeks following Grayson Waller’s return to NXT, which saw him cut a worked shoot promo which quickly went viral on the July 28 episode.

Zilla Fatu is notably a member of the Anoa’i/Fatu family. Being the son of Umaga, this would make him first cousins with The Usos and Solo Sikoa, who are all sons of Rikishi.

Zilla is also a first cousin of Jacob Fatu, and first cousins once removed with Roman Reigns.

The new WWE star trained at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling school, and made his in-ring debut in July 2023.

There had been a lot of talk about Zilla potentially joining WWE since then, with Paul Heyman stating earlier this year that he felt the company would be remiss if they didn’t sign him at the very first opportunity.

The Bloodline family member had been spotted at the Performance Center in early-June, ahead of his debut two months later.

It will be interesting to see how WWE chooses to present Zilla Fatu, both in NXT, and in the larger Bloodline saga.

Following Naraku, Mason Rook, Cruz Montana and Grayson Waller, Zilla Fatu is the latest in the growing line of stars to arrive on Tuesday nights and immediately join the NXT Championship picture.

While the NXT main event scene could do with some refining, Zilla is a welcome addition who could benefit from a run on the brand, establishing himself away from the Bloodline.

Of course, WWE could eventually move him up to Roman Reigns’ faction, with Solo Sikoa’s early WWE career possibly serving as a blueprint; having a short stint on NXT before hitting the ground running on the main roster.
