WWE reportedly have interest in signing Zilla Fatu, with the second-generation star spotted at the Performance Center in Orlando Florida.
With Roman Reigns’ Bloodline recently growing stronger with the addition of Jacob Fatu, a new backstage report has revealed interest from WWE in one of the most prominent Anoa’i Family names yet to be signed to the company: Zilla Fatu.
Given his lineage as the son of former WWE star Umaga, Fatu has been oft-linked to the company since beginning his in-ring career in 2023, with the current House of Glory Crown Jewel Champion teasing a move in the past.
With The Bloodline’s former Wiseman Paul Heyman recently stating that WWE should sign Fatu at “the very first opportunity,” PWInsiderElite has shared a big update on that possibly becoming a reality.
According to PWInsiderElite, Fatu attended the WWE Performance Center today (June 8). There has also reportedly been talk of WWE being interested in him as of late.
Fatu began his in-ring career at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling in July 2023, with the WWE Hall of Famer also training and mentoring him.
Fatu has since grown his reputation on the independent scene, appearing for notable promotions such as GCW and House of Glory, and even challenged MJF for the AEW World Championship at the latter’s No Turning Back event in February.
While Fatu has yet to share a ring with the likes of Roman Reigns or The Usos, he did team with Jacob Fatu several times in early 2024 before “The Samoan Werewolf” made the jump to WWE.
Straight To WWE Main Roster & The Bloodline, Or Will It Be NXT First For Zilla Fatu?
Despite his lineage and massive upside, WWE may opt to have Zilla Fatu follow in Solo Sikoa’s footsteps in WWE, rather than Jacob Fatu.
Unlike Jacob, who debuted on the main roster in June 2024 and was immediately thrusted into one of WWE’s biggest storylines, Sikoa started in NXT in 2021 after three years of competition on the indies.
While it only took WWE a year to call Sikoa up to SmackDown, that year in NXT got fans familiar with him, and, if Zilla does sign with WWE then fans should probably expect him to follow that same path.
Alternatively, if WWE decide to throw Zilla in at the deep end, there’s certainly scope for the 26-year-old to enter the teased storyline involving The Bloodline and The MFTs.
With The Bloodline now featuring four members and The MFTs three, Zilla could join up with Sikoa and set up a potential four vs. four WarGames match at Survivor Series later this year.
Whatever direction WWE choose, Zilla could provide them their next top Samoan superstar for many years to come.
