Following a lot of turnover in WWE NXT in 2026, it is clear that Tony D’Angelo currently sits at the mountaintop of the brand right now.
“The Don of NXT” is now the reigning and defending NXT Champion with several different contenders coming after his gold.
While he holds the top prize on the brand, it would not be entirely surprising to see D’Angelo get called up to the WWE main roster in the near future.
Here are six potential Tony D’Angelo WWE main roster plans.
6. Call-Up Following WWE SummerSlam 2026

WWE NXT alum Oba Femi & Trick Williams made the official SummerSlam poster ahead of what could be their first appearances at the event.
WWE has made several NXT callups throughout the year of 2026 so far.
At the start of the year, Oba Femi, Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams were called up to Raw and SmackDown, while the likes of Sol Ruca, Joe Hendry, Ethan Page, Blake Monroe and Fatal Influence have also moved on from NXT since WrestleMania 42.
This opens the door for the company to once again have a few more callups following the WWE SummerSlam 2026 premium live event.
Following “The Biggest Party of the Summer,” fans could see Tony D’Angelo join many of his peers from NXT on the main roster moving forward.
5. Joining The Vision With His Real Life Friend Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker and Tony D’Angelo made their WWE TV debuts within one month of each other in the Fall of 2021
During his time on WWE NXT, Tony D’Angelo became good friends outside of the squared circle with Bron Breakker.
Prior to their NXT debuts, there were plans for D’Angelo to even team with Breakker in a duo on the brand.
While that wasn’t meant to be, Breakker has gone on to become a major star on the main roster and a former two-time Intercontinental Champion, while D’Angelo remains on NXT as the NXT Champion.
If he is heading to the main roster, D’Angelo can reunite with Breakker in The Vision on Monday Night Raw.
4. Answering Penta’s WWE Intercontinental Championship Open Challenge

Penta won the WWE Intercontinental Title from Dominik Mysterio on the March 2, 2026 episode of Raw
Since winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship in March, Penta has introduced an open challenge where anyone can step up to get a shot at the title.
This has led to Penta successfully defending his championship against a litany of challengers on Monday Night Raw.
This could also open the door for new contenders to emerge from WWE NXT like Tony D’Angelo.
Using this IC Title Open Challenge could see Tony D join WWE Raw with a victory to become the new champion.
3. Rekindling His Rivalry With Oba Femi

Tony D’Angelo handed Oba Femi two WWE NXT defeats in October 2024
During his run on WWE NXT, Tony D’Angelo found one of his fiercest opponents and rivals in Oba Femi.
Feuding over the NXT North American Championship, Femi and D’Angelo found tooth and nail with one another to prove who was the better man.
It led to Tony D becoming the first man in WWE to ever score a pinfall victory over Femi after a lengthy undefeated streak.
Rekindling this rivalry on the WWE main roster, D’Angelo could get another chance to prove his superiority over Femi by facing off with “The Ruler” one more time on Monday Night Raw.
2. Joining The Field For Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match

On June 8, 2026 WWE announced that Money in the Bank 2026 had been moved from Sunday, September 6 to Saturday, October 10
Tony D’Angelo could have his sights set on another title on the WWE main roster and shoot to the top of the company.
With six competitors battling for the Money In The Bank contract, D’Angelo could find his way to the WWE main roster by stepping in the ring for this prestigious ladder match.
Joining the field to potentially win Money In The Bank, Tony D could secure his place on Raw or SmackDown following this PLE.
1. Creating A Whole New D’Angelo Family

Tony D’Angelo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino faced off in a three-way in NXT in July 2025 to effectively end The D’Angelo Family storyline, with Tony D coming out on top.
During his time on WWE NXT, Tony D’Angelo surrounded himself with a group that became known as “The D’Angelo Family.
Alongside Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Adriana Rizzo and Luca Cruisfino, D’Angelo was able to win a lot of gold and secure his place among the upper echelon of the NXT brand.
If he makes his way to the WWE main roster, D’Angelo might want to create a brand new family that can help his potential rise up the ladder on Raw or SmackDown.
Whether it be those he formed a bond with on NXT or new friends along the way, Tony D creating a new D’Angelo Family would be interesting and assist in his rise to prominence after making this transition.
