On Saturday, June 27, WWE will present their latest premium live event with the Night of Champions 2026 show.

With several weeks remaining ahead of this event, it should lead to some changes to the card for this show from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

From new title matches to alterations to bouts already announced, it should lead to this night being one that is remembered for a long time.

Here are six potential changes to WWE Night of Champions 2026.

6. Penta vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Ethan Page vs. Rusev For WWE Intercontinental Championship Announced For The Lineup

Since capturing the Intercontinental Title in March, Penta has proven to be a fighting champion never backing down from any challenge.

On the June 8 edition of Monday Night Raw, Penta will defend the WWE IC Title against Rey Mysterio in a battle of legendary luchadors.

However, Ethan Page and Rusev were none too pleased with the fact that Mysterio had skipped the line for a title opportunity.

This might lead to Page and Rusev getting involved and may set up a four-way IC Title match for the WWE Night of Champions 2026 premium live event.

5. Paige & Brie Bella vs. Fatal Influence For WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Added To The Card

Since winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 42, Paige and Brie Bella have turned back several different challengers for the gold.

On the June 5 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Fatal Influence sent a message to the champions with a backstage attack.

After this assault on the legendary female stars, this could set the stage for a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match for the Night of Champions 2026 show.

Paige and Brie defending the titles against Fatal Influence’s Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley might prove to be the toughest challenge of the Total Divas alumni’s reign as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

4. Winner Of Carmelo Hayes vs. Ricky Saints Rubber Match Moves On To Challenge Trick Williams For United States Championship

Over the past few weeks, Carmelo Hayes has developed a rivalry with Ricky Saints that has seen these two stars trading wins.

On the May 29 episode of SmackDown, Hayes and Saints confronted WWE United States Champion Trick Williams and made it clear that both men were looking to challenge for the gold.

Williams has since stated that he likes seeing these two talents battling over an opportunity to face the US Champion.

This could be the groundwork for Melo and Ricky to face one another in a number one contenders match at WWE Night of Champions 2026 with the winner moving on to challenge Trick for the US Title later in the same show.

3. Rhea Ripley vs. Tiffany Stratton In A Champion vs. Champion Match

On the June 5 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton came out to interrupt an in-ring segment between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair.

Stratton made it clear that she would like an opportunity at the WWE Women’s Championship despite already being the reigning Women’s United States Champion.

Considering the next PLE will be WWE Night of Champions 2026, it would make sense for a Champion vs. Champion battle on the lineup.

Having Stratton challenge Ripley for the WWE Women’s Championship on the June 28 card, it would be a first time ever meeting that fans will be excited to watch unfold from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

2. Liv Morgan Defending WWE Women’s World Championship In The Queen Of The Ring Tournament Finals

Many fans were surprised to see Liv Morgan in the field for the Queen of the Ring tournament.

With Morgan being the current WWE Women’s World Champion, it creates an intriguing story to watch unfold during this year’s tournament.

Morgan is looking to become a double champion after feeling like no one wanted a shot at her gold.

However, WWE could turn things on its head by forcing Morgan to defend the Women’s World Championship in the Queen of the Ring Finals if she makes it to that match at the Night of Champions 2026 premium live event.

1. Cody Rhodes vs. GUNTHER vs. Sami Zayn For The Undisputed WWE Championship Announced As The Main Event Of The Show

At WWE Clash In Italy 2026, Cody Rhodes defeated GUNTHER to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship, but this did not come without controversy.

“The Ring General” had his foot underneath the ropes during the pinfall, which has led to a rematch being scheduled for the June 19 episode of SmackDown. However, there is someone else in the mix as well.

After GUNTHER’s interference cost him a match through “The American Nightmare,” Sami Zayn has inserted himself in the mix of the Undisputed WWE Championship picture at the moment.

Everything might be coming to a head at the WWE Night of Champions 2026 PLE where Cody could defend his title against both GUNTHER and Zayn in what should be the main event of this show from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
