Roman Reigns & Jacob Fatu Among Main Roster Stars WWE AAA Star Jack Cartwheel Wants To Face

Jack Cartwheel may be signed to AAA, but he has dream matches on WWE Raw and SmackDown in mind, including Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu.

Currently sidelined with an arm injury that won’t need surgery, Jack Cartwheel named the main roster stars he would like to face, should the opportunity arise.

Speaking on Pep Talk? Pep Talks!, Cartwheel named his dream opponents, whether it be on NXT, Raw or SmackDown, saying:

“Je’Von Evans, I would to have another match with him. Finn Balor is one of my greats of all time that I want to face. Roman Reigns is another great of all time that I would like to face. Are you kidding me? That would be sick.

“I think it would be so cool to get to NXT and wrestle with the Vanity Project guys that I got to work on the indies when we were all on (WWE) ID together. Now I’m on AAA, and they’re on NXT, and I hope that, one day, we can merge back.

“That’s just the beginning… Kit Wilson, Matt Cardona, Danhausen, Jacob Fatu. I say Jacob Fatu because he’s also from this Northern California area, along with me. I’ve actually had a match with him on the indies in this area before he got picked up.”

“The possibilities are endless, and I can’t wait to get back out there.”

Cartwheel defeated Vanity Project’s Brad Baylor in the WWE ID Men’s Championship Tournament semi-final, which took place in July of last year at House of Champions Pro Wrestling. The final took place at GCW ID Showcase last August, with Cappuccino Jones going on to be victorious.

Prior to being repackaged as Vanity Project, Jackson Drake and Swipe Right (Baylor & Ricky Smokes) would defeat Cartwheel, Jones and Sean Legacy at GCW Presents ID Championship Tournament in April of last year.

Closer to home, Cartwheel would also name the stars he wants to face in AAA, with Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano being among those to catch his attention.

Jacob Fatu recently acknowledged Roman Reigns, having lost to The OTC in Tribal Combat at WWE Clash in Italy.

From Indies To WWE: Revisiting The Past

Jack Cartwheel making callbacks to his time as an independent wrestling star and the current WWE stars that he wants to face once again is quite an interesting move in itself.

For fans of Cartwheel, it’s a chance to revisit matches in the star’s back catalog, while for the man himself, it could act as a benchmark to see how much he has grown since last facing a particular star.

It’s more than just nostalgia; it’s more of a demonstration of the learning journey, a chance to pay homage to something that many WWE fans may not have seen, and a chance to build a “one more match” legacy of his own.

Cartwheel is signed as a full-time AAA star, which likely limits the likelihood that he will cross paths with the likes of Roman Reigns in Mexico, although WWE aren’t against the idea of stars from the Mexico-based promotion appearing on NXT or the main roster.

While there has been no confirmation for a future edition, Worlds Collide returned for two shows last year, seeing a crossover between AAA, NXT, Raw and SmackDown stars. Perhaps that’s where the opportunity lies for Cartwheel to capture his dream.
