WWE AAA star Jack Cartwheel has provided an update on his arm injury, stating that he will not require surgery as he recovers.

Cartwheel suffered an elbow injury during his match against Galeno Del Mal at the April 17 GCW Gringo Locos’ The Wrld On Lucha event, leading to the bout being stopped early.

Speaking on PEP TALK? PEP TALKS! in an episode which aired on June 8, Jack Cartwheel confirmed that, while he doesn’t know his exact return date, he isn’t expecting to be out for six months.

Stating that he does not need surgery, Cartwheel said:

“It has been better than I thought it would be. If I showed you the X-rays – at some point I’ll release the X-rays, I haven’t yet – my forearm was just not where it’s supposed to be.

“The X-rays looked insane, so you’d think I’d be out for six months, eight months, something like that, but I’ve been very lucky to not need surgery on the dislocated elbow.

“I have some tendons torn, I have some ligaments torn, but the great news is that I don’t need surgery. I don’t know exactly when I’m coming back yet, but I know I’m not going to be out for six months. I know it’s going to be less than that.

“That’s just great news. I’m getting a little more degrees every day. Every week I’m supposed to get one more latch (on his arm brace) further.”

Cartwheel was one of the first names announced to be part of the WWE ID independent wrestler development program in November 2024.

The star announced in late-May that he is now fully signed to WWE’s AAA brand, and is no longer affiliated with WWE ID.

Cartwheel has wrestled a number of matches under WWE-managed AAA, most recently facing off against Dragon Lee, TJ Perkins and champion Laredo Kid for the World Cruiserweight Championship in a match which aired on the March 28 Rey De Reyes special episode of AAA on FOX.

With Jack Cartwheel officially under contract, it would make sense to see him prominently featured as a WWE AAA’s mainstay following his eventual return from injury.
