Plans for Paige have been revealed after being betrayed by The Bella Twins at WWE SummerSlam on August 1 of this year.

WWE SummerSlam saw The Bella Twins & Paige compete in the six-woman tag match against Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Lainey Reid).

Fatal Influence would be victorious in that encounter, with The Bella Twins turning on Paige post-match and bringing an end to their relationship.

With Paige having gone on to state, “Oh, you f**ked up” after the betrayal, more details have now emerged on the future for the star.

Speaking at Comic Con Wales, Paige addressed what went down at SummerSlam and how she feels about Nikki & Brie Bella, saying:

“You just get that vibe from Nikki out the gate there. You know what I mean? Like after we won the championships at WrestleMania, the hug that she gave me afterwards and the freaking side eyes she was giving me, I was like, “Ah, is it going to be too long until she turns on me? And I kind of expected it at SummerSlam too, especially when I gave Brie a really long hug, you know.

“I don’t know if you guys notice, but I gave her a long hug after the SummerSlam match, and I was just like, “This feels really sad…I mean, everyone expected it. That’s pretty real, right?”

When it comes to her future, Paige would reveal that she’s coming for a women’s championship, stating:

“I came back, you know, as Paige after eight years. It was really cool to be back. But I came back in a tag to help them out. But you know they haven’t seen the best of me yet.

“You know we’re going to go into a singles competition, and I’m going to win those women’s championships after I beat their f**king ass. You heard it here.”

Paige certainly has a history as a singles competitor, previously being a two-time WWE Divas Champion and the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion.

A Convenient Relationship

Long expected to make a return to WWE after her AEW departure in March of last year, Saraya made her comeback as Paige at WrestleMania 42, replacing an injured Nikki Bella in the Women’s Tag Team Championship match.

The partnership between Brie Bella and Paige, even as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, was unlikely to be a long with, with the Hall of Famers always destined for a reunion.

As a singles competitor, there’s plenty of direction that Paige could go. Chelsea Green is the current ‘Interim’ WWE Women’s Champion, while Liv Morgan holds the Women’s World Championship, a title that is currently being eyed up by Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer.

Retribution may be a long way off for Paige when it comes to the twins, with Brie Bella now sidelined due to an injury picked up at SummerSlam, which was later confirmed to be a broken scapula, likely keeping her out of action for “three to six months“, according to the star herself.
