Predicting The Next Champion For Every WWE AAA Title

It is hard to argue that Lucha Libre AAA is currently WWE’s hottest brand.

Coming off the success of the El Grande Americano storyline, AAA has garnered more attention than it has since WWE acquired the promotion.

With TripleMania 34 fast approaching, it will be interesting to see what titles change hands before, at or after this huge premium live event.

Here are our predictions for the next champion for every WWE AAA Title.

AAA Reina de Reinas Championship – La Catalina

In April, La Catalina left CMLL and made her way to sign with Lucha Libre AAA.

Immediately thrusting herself into the spotlight, Catalina confronted Flammer during her historic AAA Reina de Reinas Championship reign celebration.

Since then, Catalina has become a consistent thorn in the side of Flammer at every turn.

After coming up short in a three-way at AAA Verano de Escandalo Week 3, Catalina should be full steam ahead to finally getting her hands on Flammer in a singles match that should see her capturing the gold.

AAA World Cruiserweight Championship – Mini Vikingo

At AAA Verano de Escandalo Week 2, Rey Fenix defeated Mini Vikingo to retain the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.

This proved to be a breakout performance for Mini Vikingo who has been turning heads on AAA for months.

While Fenix is set to defend the title on the August 25 WWE NXT, it should be another AAA star who dethrones him for the gold at some point.

Looking at the entire AAA roster, there might not be another better option to become the next AAA World Cruiserweight Champion than Mini Vikingo right now.

AAA World Tag Team Championships – Mr. Iguana & La Parka

Over the past few months, La Parka and Mr. Iguana have formed a formidable pairing on AAA TV.

Teaming to pick up wins, Iguana and Parka have been showing off their chemistry with one another.

Now that Iguana has lost the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship, he might want another pair of titles.

Iguana teaming with Parka to win gold would see two of the most popular names on the AAA roster coming together to capture the tag team titles from the reigning AAA World Tag Team Champions The War Raiders.

AAA Latin American Championship – Omos

On the road to AAA TripleMania 34, AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio has had to make a lot of tough decisions.

One of those decisions was choosing to strip El Hijo del Vikingo of the AAA Latin American Championship after he suffered a knee injury training.

El Ojo’s Dorian Roldan wanted to just hand the title to Vikingo’s stablemate Omos, but this wasn’t meant to be.

Now with “The Nigerian Giant” part of the tournament to determine the new titleholder at TripleMania 34, Omos could be just a few wins away from bringing the AAA Latin American Championship back to El Ojo.

AAA Mega Championship – El Grande Americano

Back at AAA Rey de Reyes, El Grande Americano defeated The Original El Grande Americano, La Parka and Santos Escobar to win the sacred Rey de Reyes sword.

With this victory, Americano also earned himself a shot at the AAA Mega Championship.

After ridding AAA of The Original El Grande, El Grande will now challenge “Dirty Dom” for the gold at TripleMania 34.

In what will be one of the biggest title matches this year, El Grande has all the momentum that should make TripleMania become his night and see him win the AAA Mega Championship in front of his people in Mexico.
