Kenny Omega Says He Loves Top WWE Star ‘Like A Brother’

AEW EVP Kenny Omega has opened up about his relationship with WWE star Sami Zayn, noting that he loves him like a brother.

Omega and Zayn are both currently the talk of the wrestling world, with Zayn currently on the run of his career in WWE, and rumors swirling about Omega potentially joining the company after his AEW deal runs out.

Speaking with The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Omega recalled spending time with Zayn while the duo were wrestling in Japan, noting:

“I love him like a brother. My greatest dormitory experience, and possibly my greatest experiences ever just in wrestling, was being able to kind of dorm with him in Japan.

“It was hanging out during the days, doing the matches at the nights, and then just kind of sitting and chilling and watching old 80s (and) 90s action movies.”

Sami Zayn previously noted that he misses wrestling Kenny Omega, naming him among several AEW stars he’d be interested in sharing the ring with.

Zayn last wrestled Omega at the December 2012 DDT Never Mind show, with Omega defeating ‘El Generico’ to win the KO-D Openweight Title.
