AEW Star Comments On Possibility Of Edge Joining The Company

Renee Paquette has revealed what her reaction will be if Edge joins AEW following his time in WWE coming to an apparent end.

With Edge having the last match of his current WWE contract on last Friday’s SmackDown, it has subsequently been reported that he may be set to work for Tony Khan.

According to PWTorch, Adam Copeland (Edge) “presented to WWE what it would take to keep him around, but WWE declined to meet his request.”

It was also suggested that there was a “belief within the company that he is probably headed to AEW, and that he knew at the time what AEW could offer him.”

Renee Paquette has recently revealed her likely reaction should Edge make his AEW debut.

Speaking to Bleav in Pro Wrestling, Paquette said:

“If he were to come over to AEW, I will crap my pants. Like, I’ll die.”

Edge stated that even though he’s had the last match on his current WWE contract, it doesn’t actually end until the end of September.

Clearly excited at the possibility of Edge joining the company, she would also discuss a possible team up with Christian, adding:

“Imagine seeing the two of them reuniting and having this like one last hurrah. Like, that is a wrestling fan’s dream.”

Christian Cage is now teaming with Swerve Strickland to take on the team of Sting & Darby Allin in a coffin match at the AEW All In Wembley Stadium pay-per-view.
