An AEW star has officially undergone a name change, as well as a new nickname being given to another star, following last night’s Dynamite.
Prior to last night’s show, it was announced that the TNT Champion Christian Cage would ‘rechristen’ Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne following their defeat at Full Gear to Sting, Darby Allin and Adam Copeland.
On the show, Christian took away Luchasaurus’ name, instead christening him ‘Killswitch’, while he also bestowed the nickname ‘The Prodigy’ upon Nick Wayne.
It was not known if the name changes from Christian would be official name changes or simply for storyline, but AEW has officially updated the roster page, with Luchasaurus officially listed as ‘Killswitch’.
The segment also saw Adam Copeland deliver a con-chair-to to Nick Wayne after Christian attempted to hit Nick Wayne’s mother, Shayna, with a con-chair-to.
