AEW President Tony Khan has provided an update on the possibility of the promotion introducing a regular house show schedule.
AEW held its first non-TV house show, The House Always Wins, in April 2021. With the company currently expanding its live event calendar, it has been heavily speculated that the promotion will begin hosting regular non-televised live events.
Speaking on In The Zone, Tony Khan confirmed that there are currently talks happening about future AEW live events.
Stating that it is definitely something AEW is going to do, Khan said:
“That’s something we are talking about. We have a great live events team. It’s something we’ve talked a lot about and building out the live event business.
“There is definitely a lot of demand for AEW live events, and now we have this great big strong roster that wants to do these live events, so it’s something we’re going to do.”
Director of Business Development Jeff Jarrett recently stated that the promotion is looking to expand into new markets in 2023.
