AJ Styles has called for WWE to put a world championship on a popular member of the Monday Night Raw roster.
After waging war verbally, and physically with The Bloodline for the entire Summer, it appears as if LA Knight may finally soon be set for a date with ‘The OTC’ and reigning World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns in the near future.
Reigns will first have to face off against the winner of the ongoing luchador-only tournament on the September 14 episode of Raw in Mexico City of course, however, it appears as if Knight is being positioned to challenge the winner of that match based on his conversation with Adam Pearce on the August 10 episode of Raw.
While fans will certainly remain skeptical regarding Knight’s chances in a World Heavyweight Title match given how long he’s been waiting for his big breakthrough moment in the WWE main event scene, he does have one vocal supporter in the form of his ex-rival AJ Styles.
Speaking on the latest episode of The AJ Styles Show, ‘The Phenomenal One’ discussed Knight’s seemingly impending world title clash with Reigns, and called for WWE to give ‘The Megastar’ the opportunity with the gold:
“I’ve never seen anybody more ready to be a champion right now than LA Knight. I know I keep harping on this, but I can’t be the only one who thinks this way.
“He’s got all the tools. Give him the opportunity. He knows what comes with being a champion, he’s got it. And I’m not just talking about holding the Heavyweight Championship around your waist.
“Nope, when it comes to interviews and what you got to do to represent the WWE, he has those tools to be able to get it done and I think he’d do it flawlessly.”

LA Knight has had several opportunities to become a world champion in WWE since debuting on the main roster in 2022, with the former two-time United States Champion falling short twice in his attempt to dethrone Roman Reigns during his 1316 day Undisputed WWE Title run and twice more against Seth Rollins during his World Heavyweight Championship reign last year.
‘The Megastar’ has also been unsuccessful in three Money in the Bank ladder matches, despite entering each of those bouts with significant fan support.
