A WWE champion has commented on training with AJ Styles, noting that he feels very blessed following the past two months of coaching.
With AJ Styles temporarily filling in as a Performance Center coach and NXT producer, the Hall of Famer is currently working with numerous top prospects in WWE’s developmental division.
One of these stars is NXT North American and Tag Team champion Myles Borne, who has now commented on training under the Phenomenal One.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Borne commented on AJ Styles’ mentorship, stating:
“He is one of the best to ever do it. I mean, his mindset on things, his psychology, his ring work, everything is just top tier. I’m absolutely blessed to be able to get in the ring and let him watch what I do and give his input and just kind of push me past my breaking point.
“It’s just been an absolute blessing. I never thought that I would be in this position, but it’s been the best past two months of training.
“I’m very fortunate right now. I’m very fortunate to have someone like him alongside, watching what I’m doing and pushing me along the way.”

While Styles has stated on several occasions that he often steps into the ring during training sessions, the Hall of Famer recently noted that he’s not close to being in ring shape, shutting down return rumors.
In addition to his coaching, AJ Styles has helped to produce a number of matches for NXT. Styles was notably a producer for Kendal Grey and Lola Vice’s NXT Championship Underground match on August 4, Vice’s final match for the brand.
Following this, Styles helped to put together Cruz Montana vs Grayson Waller on August 11, the match which ended with Zilla Fatu’s debut for the company.
With Styles also working on Shiloh Hill’s first match back following his skull injury, the Phenomenal One has stated that he believes he will be a producer for the NXT Championship four-way at NXT Heatwave.
At NXT Heatwave this Sunday (August 30), Tony D’Angelo will defend his NXT Championship against Cruz Montana, Grayson Waller and Zilla Fatu. This will be Zilla’s debut match for the company.
Myles Borne will pull double duty at the event, defending his North American Championship against Jackson Drake, and teaming with Tavion Heights to put the NXT Tag Team Title on the line against Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes.
