Big Title Change On AEW Dynamite

Big Title Change On AEW Dynamite AEW

There was a big title change on tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite with a post-match angle with pay-per-view implications.

Tonight on AEW Dynamite (February 7) Ricky Starks and Big Bill looked to defend their AEW Tag Team Championship against Sting and Darby Allin.

After an exciting match that even saw Sting take a flying leap off of a concourse onto Big Bill and Ricky Starks down below, the match would eventually end in the ring.

Sting and Darby Allin won via pinfall to become the new AEW Tag Team Champions.

The pair celebrated in the ring as the were joined by Sting’s real life sons on the ring apron for the celebration.

However the joyful moment would end up being incredibly short-lived.

Sneaking up while the confetti was still raining down in the ring, the Young Bucks attacked everyone in sight.

Upstaging the moment to take a baseball bat to Sting’s knee from behind, Nicholas and Matthew Jackson would go on to also attack Sting’s real life sons and Darby Allin.

After Allin was visibly bleeding, Matthew and Nicholas’ white suits began to be stained with the new champion’s blood as their assault was unrelenting on the soon to be retiring Sting.

They would go on to hit their ‘new’ finishing move, the EVP Trigger (which is the same move just renamed from it’s latest iteration of ‘BTE Trigger’) on Allin and stand victorious in the moment.

Commentary noted that after their dastardly actions, their reputations would never be the same.

The Bucks will challenge Sting and Allin for the tag team championship at AEW Revolution in Sting’s retirement match.
