Popular Former WWE Team Set To Reunite At Upcoming Show WWE

A popular WWE team are set to reunite for the first time in over two years at an upcoming show in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Following his successful return to the ring on July 8, new NGW Tennessee Heavyweight Champion Tyler Breeze will once again compete at the NGW, TN Nightmare in the Old City show on October 8 as announced by the promotion via Twitter.

However, he won’t be alone, as Dirty Dango (FKA Fandango) will be set to join him for tag team action against a pair of unannounced opponents, going under the new tag name of Dirty Breeze.

The former Breezango competed as a collective in WWE between 2016-2021 across Raw, Smackdown and NXT.

While they gained great popularity for their Fashion Files skits on Smackdown Live following the 2016 WWE brand split, they sadly never captured WWE Tag Team Championship gold.

That was until they reformed on NXT in 2019, winning their first and only titles together in August 2020, defeating Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci).

Unfortunately less than a year later both Breeze and Dango were released from WWE in June 2021.

Dango went on to compete on the independent scene most notably for IMPACT, while Breeze took a two-year break from the ring following his release.

Interestingly it emerged recently that Breeze was in fact resigned to WWE, however, not in a wrestling capacity as his contract is solely related to work for the WWE’s UpUpDownDown gaming YouTube channel.

While WWE does not have Breeze under contract as an active competitor there are some restrictions on where he can compete, namely AEW.

However, as has been seen by his recent title win, there is still the capacity for Breeze to compete on the independents while continuing his work for UpUpDownDown.

After appearing at IMPACT’s Slammiversary PPV (July 15) it has been announced that Eric Young has been released from WWE without ever appearing on-screen following his November 2022 hiring.

The reasoning for the release has now been revealed, with it pertaining very much to the WWE return of Vince McMahon, click here to read on.
