Brock Lesnar Backstage Attitude Revealed By Ex-WWE Star WWE

Brock Lesnar’s backstage attitude has been revealed by Zach Gowen who had two matches with the WWE star in 2003.

Gowen made his WWE debut in May 2003, initially working with “Mr. America” (Hulk Hogan in a mask) which would eventually put him at odds with Vince McMahon leading to a match at WWE Vengeance.

He would also have two matches with Brock Lesnar, with the first being a tag team match where he teamed with Lesnar and Kurt Angle to take on The Big Show & The World’s Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin).

August 19, 2003, would see Gowen face Brock Lesnar in a singles match on WWE SmackDown as part of their feud which was featured in a WWE Top 10 posted in 2019 that can be seen below.

Gowen recently revealed Lesnar’s backstage attitude in an interview with Chris Van Vliet, saying:

“He was a very mean man to me on camera, and he was a very sweet man to me off camera.

“I love Brock Lesnar so much. He’s the type of dude that I get along with the best. Just salt of the earth. Shows up, respectful, does a great job. [He’s very] genuine.

“There’s no ulterior motives and there’s no salesman-y type of ‘Hey, I’ll shake your hand here and then stab you in the back later.’

“It’s what you see is what you get exactly like you said. Those are the type of guys that I get along with most not only in wrestling but in real life.”

Gowen’s time in WWE would come to an end when he was released from his contract in February 2004.

He has recently revealed that his “inability to be professional” was what led to his release.

Brock Lesnar is reportedly returning to WWE for the Royal Rumble season, with the PLE taking place on January 27, 2024.

John Cena has recently described Lesnar as “extremely underrated“.
