AEW’s Bryan Danielson Addresses Wrestling Future After Full-Time Run AEW

Bryan Danielson has commented on his plans for his in-ring career following the end of his final year as a full-time wrestler.

Following AEW All Out 2023, Danielson announced the beginning of his last year as a full-time member of the roster, with Danielson previously promising his family that he’ll spend more time at home after his daughter turns 7 next year.

With Danielson essentially wrestling a ‘final year’ tour, there has been a lot of speculation about what Danielson’s part-time career will look like.

Speaking on the Maggie & Perloff radio show ahead of his in-ring return, Danielson explained that he doesn’t see himself ever hanging up the boots for good.

Confirming that he still plans to wrestle ‘every once in a while’, Danielson said:

“I could picture myself out there, and when I say this is kind of my last — this is my last year as a full-time wrestler. I can’t envision ever stopping, and I think Ric Flair sees it the same way.

“It’s such an incredible experience to go out there and do it. I’m getting to the point where my body’s breaking down a little bit.

“I can’t do it full-time at the level that I would like to, but I would still like to get out there every once in a while and just do it.

“It’s one of my life’s passions, you know what I mean? It makes me feel alive. So, yeah, I mean, I could see myself out there at 74, just being like, ‘Ahhh! Come on!'”

Danielson returned to the ring on the December 2 edition of Collision, defeating Eddie Kingston in the AEW Continental Classic tournament.

Tony Khan recently spoke about Danielson’s AEW future ahead of Danielson finishing up as a full-time competitor, which you can read more about right here.
