Hall Of Famer Bully Ray Says He ‘Wouldn’t Be Shocked’ If WWE Brought New Signing To Main Roster To Be Part Of Current Storyline

Hall of Famer Bully Ray has commented on the possibility of a new WWE signing being fast tracked through NXT and joining the main roster Bloodline storyline.

With Zilla Fatu making his WWE debut on the August 11 edition of NXT, the Anoa’i family member officially signed his NXT contract during the August 18 episode

With tensions boiling over between Zilla’s cousins on WWE Raw, Bully Ray has shared his honest thoughts on the idea of Zilla Fatu having a brief run on NXT before joining Roman Reigns, The Usos, Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa’s current storyline.

He said:

“When we first started talking about Zilla, I said, the name that the kid has already built for himself, and because he is directly related with the Bloodline, because it’s right there, that they may try to go there sooner than later.

“If Jacob (Fatu) were to break away and join Solo (Sikoa), and they went head to head against Roman, Jimmy and Jey, they might need a third. And who better to be that third than Zilla? I mean, would you like to see Roman, Jimmy and Jey lined up against Solo, Jacob and Zilla? How’s that for a face to face to face to face to face to face?

“From a professional point of view, from a learning the system point of view, learning to work in WWE, learning the ins and outs, learning how to keep everything in check, I think Zilla should hang out in NXT.

“From a storyline point of view, a holy s**t point of view, and the fact that he could be plugged in immediately, I wouldn’t be shocked if he was thrown into the deep end, as part of the Bloodline storyline. I wouldn’t be shocked at all. I wouldn’t mind it, and I think he could handle it.”

Solo Sikoa’s main roster debut was somewhat similar to what Bully Ray was describing. Sikoa wrestled for NXT for just under a year before aligning himself with Roman Reigns and the Bloodline at Clash at the Castle 2022.

Monday’s (August 17) Raw episode saw The Usos “deliver” Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns. This segment ended with Sikoa delivering a Samoan Spike to Reigns, and fighting off The Usos alongside LA Knight while Jacob Fatu just watched from the corner.
