A WWE star has posted their reaction to Lil Uzi Vert’s brand new song which samples Shinsuke Nakamura’s beloved entrance theme.
Despite having recent ties to WWE through his performance at WrestleMania 39 Night One, it came as a total surprise when upon dropping his Pink Tape album on Friday, June 30, a song titled ‘Nakamura’ was featured, in which Uzi raps over the entirety of the King of Strong Style’s ‘Rising Sun’ theme.
The efforts from the multi-platinum selling artist were received warmly by fans of both he and pro wrestling, but now it seems as if even WWE stars are getting in on the action as SmackDown’s Cameron Grimes has taken to Twitter in reaction of the surprise drop.
Grimes tweeted his respect for Uzi’s remix of the theme saying:
My man @LILUZIVERT was like this Nakamura entrance is fire I’m going to rap on it and I respect that!
Following his WrestleMania 39 appearance Uzi was not shy about potentially do more with the company in the future, even threatening to mix it up with Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania next year in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
