Charlotte Flair has named Kiana James as her top potential future star in WWE, saying “she’s gonna be a big player.”

Flair and James developed a close friendship when they were both rehabbing from knee injuries, which they’ve both documented on social media, often working out and/or hanging out together.

In an interview on ESPN First Take today, Flair was asked to name a standout future top star in WWE, and gave James as her pick.

She said:

“For me, definitely Kiana James. I met her at the PC when I was out with my knee injury and she had a knee injury as well.

“She was only on the roster for about a month before she got injured, and she’s been back now for almost a year.

“I think she has the potential to be a main event player. She’s aggressive, she’s athletic, she’s powerful. She makes me wanna step my game up.

“She’s very young and she’s soaking up every moment that she can. So look out for Kiana James, she’s gonna be a big player.”

She said:

“Definitely IYO vs Asuka. I have a lot of history with Asuka, I ended her undefeated streak.

“But with IYO being part of Damage CTRL with Asuka for the last two years, I think they’re gonna steal the show, honestly. That’s the match I’m looking forward to most.”
