WWE Star Reveals Surprise Benefit Of Beating Cody Rhodes

Having won the men’s WWE Elimination Chamber match, Drew McIntyre has revealed why he got so much pyro, crediting Cody Rhodes.

Starting the men’s Elimination Chamber match at the February 24 PLE, it would be by eliminating Randy Orton that McIntyre would be victorious by the end of it.

Reacting to his victory in Perth, Australia, McIntyre took a humorous shot at Cody Rhodes, tweeting:

“When you beat Cody you also get a portion of his pyro budget”

McIntyre defeated Cody Rhodes on the February 19 episode of WWE Raw, albeit with an assist from Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline.

With the interference mirroring what happened between Roman Reigns and McIntyre at Clash at the Castle in 2023, McIntyre has hit back at claims that he is a “hypocrite“.

After winning the Chamber, McIntyre will now face Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE WrestleMania 40 on April 6 & 7 2024

Cody Rhodes will face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the two-night PLE.

There were further matches teased during Elimination Chamber that may make their way to WrestleMania 40.

During the Grayson Waller Effect at WWE Elimination Chamber, Rhodes also issued a one-on-one challenge to The Rock.

It has recently been reported that McIntyre still hasn’t signed a new WWE deal with the current contract due to end in April 2024.

Following CM Punk’s injury announcement after Royal Rumble, McIntyre has spent the past few weeks mocking Punk, seemingly setting up a feud for when Punk is back.
