Colt Cabana has been announced for the first set of NWA TV Tapings under the Billy Corgan era. This is a bit of a surprise given ROH and the NWA have parted ways. Cabana is still a regular TV commentator and is set to face Marty Scurll in the ROH Number 1 Contender’s Tournament for the ROH World Title.

Cabana had held the NWA National Heavyweight Championship before losing it to James Storm. Cabana said he had not forgotten about his issues with Storm in a promo. Storm beat an injured Cabana to win the title back in June.
The tapings are being held on September 30 and October 1 in Atlanta, Georgia. Nick Aldis, Allison Kay, Ricky Sparks, and Eli Drake are also advertised to appear. Royce Isaacs and Thomas Latimer, the current NWA Tag Team Champions are also expected to be announced prior to the TV Tapings.
