UPDATE: An update on Piper Niven can be found at this link.
A current champion in WWE has been declared unfit to compete on tonight’s (September 4) episode of Raw.
Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville became the Women’s Tag Team Champions back on July 17, but Sonya shortly after went down with a torn ACL.
Sonya’s injury led to Chelsea finding a replacement tag team partner, which turned out to be Piper Niven, who claimed Sonya’s vacant title.
Well, it seems now Piper herself is not cleared for action, as Adam Pearce announced on tonight’s WWE Raw show that Piper Niven was not cleared to compete.
Chelsea was in action on the show, where she was quickly defeated by Raquel Rodriguez following her loss to Rhea Ripley at Payback.
Raquel took to the mic after the match, challenging Rhea to a rematch for the Women’s World Championship on next week’s show.
The status and severity of Piper’s issue is not currently known, or how long she will be out of action for.
We will provide updates when they become available.
