AEW’s Darby Allin Thanks WWE Legend For Mount Everest Climb Help

Darby Allin has given a shoutout to a WWE Hall of Famer after the AEW star successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest.

News that Allin had reached the summit of the highest mountain above sea level emerged on May 18, 2025.

Having thanked AEW and his expedition team for their support during his ascent, Allin has now given a shoutout to Diamond Dallas Page.

Diamond Dallas Page shared a photo on social media showing Darby Allin hitting the WWE Hall of Famer’s ‘Diamond Cutter’ hand gesture along with the message:

“HUGE congrats to my boy @darbyallin on his amazing accomplishment!

“And thanks for throwing up the Diamond Cutter at the top of the world!”

The image, as can be seen below this news story from Twitter, saw a response from Darby Allin himself over on his own Instagram Story.

Darby Allin in would reveal how it was Diamond Dallas Page who motivated him to climb Mount Everest, putting him in touch with the right people, as he wrote:

“I didn’t know s**t about mountains and was going to go to this low rent place when I googled how to climb Mount Everest years ago and Diamond Dallas Page said f**k that and put me in touch with the right people to do this journey the right way so thx Dallas!!”

Diamond Dallas Page is currently signed to a WWE Legends deal, most recently appearing for the company to induct Lex Luger into the Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 41 week.

Darby Allin’s AEW return date is still unclear, Darby Allin now making his way back down Mount Everest.

The ArcGIS tracker last update on Allin’s progress back was on May 18, revealing he was at Camp 4.

It was previously reported that AEW initially hoped that Allin would be back in time for AEW Double or Nothing on May 25, however Allin still has to safely descend the mountain and recover from his expedition before he can return to the ring.
