Drew McIntyre has addressed his WWE future and reflected on his career after ‘quitting’ on last week’s SmackDown show.
After losing the WWE Championship back to Cody Rhodes on the March 6 episode of SmackDown, Drew McIntyre would appear on last week’s SmackDown, where he would ‘quit’ the company.
However, Drew would reappear later in the night, costing Jacob Fatu his match with Trick Williams on the show.
Following his appearance, Nick Aldis would announce that McIntyre would face Jacob on tomorrow night’s episode of SmackDown.
Drew McIntyre Addresses Future & Reflects On Career
Ahead of his appearance on tomorrow night’s SmackDown, Drew provided a ‘check in’ ahead of the show, where he addressed his WWE career and future.
In a video shared to social media, Drew said:
“Time for a check in. Been a rough few weeks right? Same old story for Drew McIntyre yeah? Difference this time is so many people have been opening their eyes to the truth that I’ve been preaching, they’re realising it’s not whining, it’s not complaining, it’s just been fact this whole time.
“I don’t care how many of you are trying to jump on the bandwagon, doesn’t make me champion does it? I’m not gonna shy away from the fact I should be walking into Mania as champion. Family coming to America, nephew should be seeing his Uncle walk down that aisle as champion, but he’s not.
“I’m not gonna focus on how it all went down, I’ve done this dance so many times. I’ve gotta keep fighting, I’ve gotta keep pushing forward. This time I’m doing it my way. There’s a bunch of things I’ve gotta focus on but right now lets focus specifically on Jacob.
“You can’t move around WWE without bumping into a nepo baby or a fraud, Jacob happens to be both. I’ll say this about him, he’s an animal. Freakishly athletic for a guy that used to resemble a bumblebee, and move like one, but pretty jacked bumblebee these days. Legitimately bad man, he’s a man in a world full of boys, this used to be a man’s business, that’s a bad man, I like that.
“But I’m quicker, I’m stronger, I’ve got the experience fighting the best this industry has to offer for a long time, I was on the same roster as Triple H and Shawn Michaels, and that same day when I was looking around at those two, my God there’s Ric Flair in the corner.
“I was in the ring with one of the best members of the Bloodline, who didn’t need anyone to fight their battles, I fought Umaga in WWE, that’s how long I’ve been around and yet I’m still one of the grizzled young veterans, at this point I should be way more grizzled all the crap I’ve been through, but I’m the original athletic freak in this game.
“Just because you did time Jacob, means nothing to me. Nobody knows my whole story, you don’t know anything about me, you know what I put out there. Everyone says they’re a gangster until a real gangster walks in the room.
“What does my future hold? I really don’t know. I really don’t know at this point, but what I do know is that I’ll see you on SmackDown this Friday Jacob.”

What’s In Store For Drew McIntyre On SmackDown
Despite the match between Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu being announced for tomorrow night’s episode of SmackDown, it’s unlikely that we will see a clean finish to the match.
It has been reported that the plan for McIntyre is a match with Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42, which would mean WWE will most likely opt towards not running the complete match tomorrow on SmackDown.
