Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Announces Major Merger WWE

Making a special appearance today on FOX television, Dwayne ‘ The Rock’ Johnson has announced a major merger related to the XFL.

Making an appearance on FOX NFL Sunday, The Rock announced that the XFL would be merging with the USFL to form a new, United Football League.

In the appearance, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson said:

“The dream for me was to play in the NFL. I always liked to say I’m player 54 on a 53-man roster,”

“Imagine all those 54s out there, you tell them, ‘You’ve got one more chance in the UFL,’ and then to go on to the NFL, potentially — how do you think they’ll play? They’re gonna ball out.”

The inaugural game for the UFL will feature a battle of the former leagues 2023 Champions on March 30, 2024.

The Arlington Renegades (the ’23 XFL champions) and Birmingham Stallions ( the ’23 USFL champions) with future details regarding league schedule to be forthcoming.

In a press release, Johnson is quoted as saying:

“From day one, our mission has been to expand the game of football and be a league of opportunity, culture and innovation,”

“As we come together to create the UFL, we can build something powerful, exciting and very cool for football fans — a spring league with lasting impact for all the players with a dream to play pro football and the ‘hardest workers in the room’ mentality to make their dreams come true.”

Elsewhere, The Rock has recently noted that he has not ruled out a Presidential bid in the future.
