Beth Phoenix Backstage At SmackDown, Comments On Edge ‘Going Out On His Own Terms’ WWE

Beth Phoenix is in Toronto for tonight’s WWE SmackDown and has described one of Edge’s goals ahead of his match tonight against Sheamus.

In a clip released by WWE, Beth Phoenix was interviewed by Cathy Kelley where she spoke about being proud of her husband (who she referred to by his real name, Adam, throughout) as well as an interesting detail.

Noting that he has been checking off items from his overall to-do list, one of those was ‘going out on his own terms,’ as speculation continues over whether or not Edge is planning to retire tonight.

In sweet detail, Beth shared that the family are all wearing custom t-shirts that feature a photo of Edge with his late Mother Judy, so that the whole family is truly in attendance to celebrate 25 years of Edge in WWE.

Elsewhere on the to-do list in Toronto, grabbing some ketchup chips for Beth and Edge’s two daughters who have yet to enjoy the treat in Canada.

In what could be his final match in WWE, Edge takes on Sheamus in front of his hometown Toronto crowd.

Last year Edge teased retirement the next time he was in Toronto and according to recent interviews with the Rated-R Superstar, tonight’s bout against Sheamus is the last on his current WWE contract.

Could he re-sign, retire or even jump ship to All Elite Wrestling? Only time will tell but WrestleTalk.com will certainly keep you up to date with all the latest details.
