Here’s Everyone Chris Jericho Could Face For The ROH Title AEW

Here are the stars that Chris Jericho could defend his ROH World Title against, following his comments on AEW Dynamite.

Following his title defence over Bandido on the September 28 show, Jericho vowed to defeat every former ROH World Champion and desecrate ROH’s legacy.

While there are numerous former ROH World Champion’s currently with AEW, many former names will be unavailable for Jericho to conquer.

Discussing Jericho’s mission, Dave Meltzer noted the following in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

“Jericho is now doing a deal where he wants to destroy the legacy of ROH by beating all of its former champions. After beating Bandido, he will next defend against Danielson on 10/12 in Toronto. Other former ROH champions in the company include Samoa Joe, C.M. Punk, Adam Cole (injured), Jay Lethal, Kyle O’Reilly (injured), Christopher Daniels, Dalton Castle, Rush and Claudio Castagnoli.

“Many others like Kevin Steen (Owens), Tyler Black (Rollins), Cody Rhodes, Roderick Strong, James Gibson and Nigel McGuinness are in WWE and others are retired now like Jerry Lynn and Takeshi Morishima.

“Others they could possibly bring in would include Low Ki, Austin Aries, Homicide, Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards and Matt Taven.”

Davey Richards recently reacted to Jericho’s call-out, issuing a challenge to the current ROH World titleholder.

Jericho is slated to defend the gold against Bryan Danielson on the October 12 edition of Dynamite in Toronto, Canada. The ROH World Champion won the gold from Danielson’s Blackpool Combat Club teammate Claudio Castagnoli at Dynamite: Grand Slam.
