Despite winning the Intercontinental Championship over two months ago, Finn Balor has only defended his title three times since WrestleMania 35.
His last defence came against Andrade at WWE Super ShowDown, with the Irishman yet to have a meaningful championship programme.
However that could be about to change, as a potential new challenger for Finn Balor’s Intercontinental Championship emerged last night on Smackdown.
In a backstage interview, Finn Balor was asked by Kayla Braxton who is next in line to face him, only for fellow-former NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura to make his presence felt.
While nothing was confirmed, it seems as if WWE is planning an exciting Finn Balor vs. Shinsuke Nakamura feud. This could be the perfect programme for both men going into the Summer.
