First Time Ever Match Set For WWE Raw Day 1

A first time ever match seems set for the New Year’s Day edition of WWE Raw dubbed ‘Day 1’ between Becky Lynch and Nia Jax.

In an in-ring segment on tonight’s WWE Raw, Nia Jax began to address the crowd and Becky Lynch however was shortly interrupted by ‘The Man’ herself.

With Becky coming to the ring, Jax fled as the pair continued to argue from a safe distance.

However while finally it seemed that Lynch had sufficiently provoked Jax into a match as the latter called out a referee, before it got started she fled.

Although Jax decided against the immediate match, she proposed they make history in her hometown of San Diego, California at Day 1.

Jax went on to then reference Becky Lynch’s daughter, saying that she would beat Becky up so badly that the little girl would ask her Mum why she was ‘even uglier’ than usual.

As well documented in WWE, the mere mention of Lynch’s daughter will send her into a rage which clearly occurred in this instance as well with Becky charging Nia on the ramp.  The pair tussled a bit before the end of the segment.

Elsewhere in the segment, Jax also made news by declaring herself as the first female entrant in the 2024 Royal Rumble.
