A former World Champion has officially confirmed that he is set to become a free agent on September 30.
It was reported over the weekend that former IMPACT World Champion Sami Callihan had ‘less than a week’ remaining on his contract with the company.
In Fightful’s report, there was said to have been interest from both sides on possibly renewing his deal with IMPACT, but it was also confirmed that he was open to speaking to other companies.
Well, it seems as if Callihan himself has confirmed that he is set to depart IMPACT, as he took to Twitter today to share a photo.
The photo was simply a black background with the text ‘9.30.23 [FREE AGENT], confirming that he will indeed be a free agent as of Saturday.
Callihan was a part of the NXT roster as Solomon Crowe prior to his release from the company in 2015. He has since gone on to become a big name in the independents.
Callihan also has history as a former tag team partner of AEW star Jon Moxley during their time together on the independent scene.
