‘Growing Frustrations’ Backstage About WWE Women’s Division Booking WWE

An update has emerged on the backstage reaction to WWE’s recent booking and creative surrounding women’s wrestling.

The presentation of women’s wrestling has been a prevalent conversation topic online ever since the July 26 edition of AEW Dynamite, with a sign that read “Book the women’s division better” very clearly shown on screen for several seconds.

Criticisms about women’s divisions aren’t exclusive to AEW, with many WWE fans voicing outrage about Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus getting pulled from SummerSlam, and Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley not being announced for the August 5 show.

Per WRKD Wrestling, there are some backstage who are frustrated about the treatment of the WWE women’s division.

There are growing frustrations backstage in WWE regarding the handling of the women’s division.

Rhea Ripley has recently been reacting to social media posts about the booking of the women’s division, which you can read more about right here.

Two women’s division matches are on the card for SummerSlam at the time of writing.

Asuka is slated to defend her WWE Women’s Title against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair in a threeway bout.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are also set to face off, in an MMA Rules bout.
