AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page cut a passionate promo about his upcoming match with CM Punk at Double or Nothing.
Beginning his promo by saying it would be “real, real easy” just to say how much he respects Punk and how they are going to put on an all-time classic for the AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing, but he’s wasn’t going to leave it at that.
Hangman Adam Page said:
“At Double or Nothing, there’s not going to be a handshake. At Double or Nothing, there’s not going to be a masturbatory Bret Hart tribute match. I am going to destroy CM Punk. Yeah, I see you right out there with that CM Punk shirt. I want you to look me in the eyes. I want you to look me in the eyes right now and I want to tell you from the bottom of my heart, when I’m done with him, you’ll be running back to the merch stand to get a refund if you haven’t already burnt the damn thing! Now I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I guess as Champion, it’s my responsibility to tell you that your beloved CM Punk is not here tonight. And if I were a betting man, and you’re damn right, I am a betting man, I’d say he’s probably off filming another TV show, isn’t that ironic? But Punk wherever you are, I want you to hear me, I want you to hear every word that I say: I am going to embarrass you. You said that you wanted a fight? Well you’ve got one. And Punk, it will be the fight of your life!”

Last week on AEW Dynamite, in Page’s absence, CM Punk announced the match after he was on commentary for FTR’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament qualifier against one another, which saw Dax Harwood advance to the Owen Cup set to kick off next week.
