IMPACT Wrestling reportedly reached out to CM Punk following his release from AEW after the investigation into events at AEW All In.
AEW terminated CM Punk’s contract with a statement being made on September 2, 2023.
Jack Perry was also “suspended indefinitely” for his involvement in the backstage altercation at Wembley Stadium, London, England.
With interest in Punk’s next move, WWE has drawn attention to a recent tease as the company builds to a return to Chicago for Survivor Series on November 25, 2023.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com recently replied to a tweet asking if Punk could appear at IMPACT Wrestling this Saturday when Bound For Glory takes place in Chicago, tweeting:
“I know a lot of people scoff at it, but yeah IMPACT would welcome CM Punk.
“Beyond obvious reasons, people said he was really great backstage when he visited.”
In April 2023, Punk paid a visit to IMPACT Wrestling when it was running in Chicago.
WrestlePurists podcaster Ibou has revealed that IMPACT Wrestling “reached out” to CM Punk and “threw the offer out there.”
At the time of writing, there have been no further details of the offer that IMPACT Wrestling made to Punk.
Fuego Del Sol has recently opened up about his relationship with CM Punk.
